Collection: Oriano Favaretto
Oriano Favaretto was born in Treviso in 1956. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice under the master Emilio Vedova. He lives and works in the Venetian countryside, which, with its natural and human presence, shapes his inner and artistic development. His passion for Murano glass led him to the legendary Fucina Degli Angeli, where he worked with renowned figures in the field of Murano glass. Among his many remarkable career achievements are: 1981 - winner of the competition among Italian Academies and recipient of the scholarship at the Fondazione Bevilacqua La Masa; 1987 and 1992 – Murano Award, Peggy Guggenheim Collection and ABA; 1993 - Golden Lamp Award, s.i.i., Paris; 1997 - Prix d'Excellence winner for the Polipò lamp, Marie Claire, Paris. In addition to the now iconic Polipò lamp, he designed numerous successful collections for De Majo including: Pro Secco, Stratosphere, Perlage, and Olimpia.
