Collection: Nahtrang design
The industrial designers Daniel Vila and Esther Pujol won the Spanish Association of Industrial Design award (Medalla ADI) in 2000. Three years later they set up their own design practice. Vila and Pujol currently combine their work at Nahtrang Disseny with their role as lecturers at several design schools. Daniel Vila (Sant Quirze Safaja, 1975) and Ester Pujol (Sabadell, 1977), industrial designers from Escola Massana (Barcelona). Daniel Vila previously obtained the title in technical drawing. After completing his training in 2000 as an industrial designer, and taking part in various seminars such as Assidomän Frövi-Massana (packaging) and pursuing a postgraduate degree in design management at ICT (Catalan Institute of Technology), they won a Medalla ADI 2000 (Industrial Designers Association) with the project "Carro de vela".
Between 2002 and 2003 Ester Pujol attended the ETSAV interior design postgraduate program. They founded Nahtrang Design in 2003. During 2007-2008 they collaborated as a lecturer at Escola Massana and sporadically as a guest lecturer at the School of Design Eina. In 2010 they taught "urban furniture" at another design school, Elisava, in Barcelona. Nowadays they are teachers at EINA School of Art in Barcelona. Their products have appeared in various publications such as Interior Design, Wallpaper, Metropolis, Surface, Experimenta, guía Creativity, Diseño Interior, Incubator Berlin, or ON Diseño. In 2012 they won a Silver Delta '12 Award for the product Pile. In 2016 they were selected in the Delta awards for the Volta lamp, which in 2017 won the NYC X DESIGN award in its category. They are currently developing projects for national and international companies.
