Collection: Michael Schmidt

Michael Schmidt was born in Heilbronn, Germany, in 1961. In 1989, he graduated in engineering from the University of Stuttgart. Later, he attended the School of Design for investment goods at the Arts Academy of Stuttgart. He worked as a designer for Mercedes Benz in the design and advanced concepts office, a position he left in 1922 to start, with an associate, the design studio “Design WorX”. Then, in 1995, he started his own design studio “code.2.design”.

Main customers: Audi, ACO Passavant, BMW, Columbus Clean, Drabert, Duscholux, E_Plus, Falper, Hansgrohe OEM, HighTech Design Produkts, Porsche, Renggli Laboratories, Schärf Office Furniture, Samas Office Furniture Group. Code.2.design is official innovation partner of Fraunhofer Institute. The Scoop bathtub and basin and the new series Shape owe their existence to his collaboration with Falper.
