Kris Van Puyvelde is one of the founders and home designer of the outdoor brand Royal Botania. In 1992, former classmates Kris Van Puyvelde and Frank Boschman decided to import teak outdoor furniture from Indonesia into Antwerp. Both engineers considered the quality available on the market to be too low and too traditional and decided to start their own line. Characterized by superior design and quality, Royal Botania was born. Almost 20 years after its founding, Royal Botania employs more than 800 employees. More than 50 people work at their headquarters near Antwerp, where goods from a 100,000m3 large warehouse are sent to customers around the world.
