Fabio Passon was born in Palmanova (Italy-Udine) in 1982, earned his Bachelor of Science in Architecture (ECTS grade A+) at Trieste University in 2005, and later, in 2008, further specialized in Civil Architecture, earning a Master of Science in Architecture (ECTS grade A) at "Politecnico di Milano" University. Since the same year, he has been a qualified architect, equivalent to RIBA part 3, and has been working as a freelance architect. From 2006 to 2008, he partnered with various studios in Lombardia; from 2008 to 2010, he teamed up as a freelancer with "Studio Geza" to manage and follow up on the design of some offices and production plants. During that time, he was also responsible for some graphic design and hotel projects.
In 2010, after receiving a University Scholarship at Poli.design in Milan, he attended “Hotel experience design,” a prestigious post-University specialization course. The project he developed was soon published in major relevant specialized international press and was also presented at Cersaie 2010 in Bologna, during the International Hospitality Exhibition 2010 in Rimini, and during "Milan Design Week 2011" at Triennale Museum. At the beginning of 2012, he founded DAIR Associates and also became a member of Confcommercio Udine and a board member of the group Young Entrepreneurs.
At the beginning of 2015, he was elected Board member of Confcommercio Udine, and at the end of 2015, he was elected President of Young Entrepreneurs Udine.
In the field of industrial design, he worked on several projects with Italian companies operating in furniture. Particular emphasis has been on the table, "Bree e Onda", produced by Riva1920 and presented several times at Imm in Cologne (D), Milan Design Week (I), and May Design Series in London (UK). The table was awarded the Best of Year Award 2014 Honoree in New York and received the Winner Bronze Prize at the First European Product Design Award in 2017 at the European Parliament. Since 2014, he has been a member of ADI - Association for Industrial Design, and since 2016, he has been Vice President of the ADI Territorial Delegation for Friuli Venezia Giulia.
