Collection: Edvar Design

Emrah Son and Emel Son, industrial product designers originally from Istanbul, established Edvar Design in 2013 after their vocational education at Istanbul Technical University, Faculty of Architecture. The group has adopted a creation process based on teamwork, although both have individual design characters. All phases including analysis, research and idea generation methods, concept creation, design process, and the final decision come to life through Emrah and Emel’s subtle and delicate perceptions.

'Edvar Design' operates in areas based on products for use within domestic sectors like furniture, kitchen utensils, home furnishings and accessories, lighting, glassware, and other fields requiring industrial design. Meanwhile, if the concept fits the team’s structure, 'Edvar Design' is open to working with different sectors.

Edvar Design adopts a unique understanding of design and creates timeless lines with authenticity. In its creativity-oriented works, it emphasizes visuality and functionality and also refines the design by discussing manufacturability and low cost in detail with environmental awareness. Edvar Design is primarily inspired by nature and naturalness; secondarily by creative minds that have passed through the time tunnel and internalized the primary inspiration. It cares deeply about practical and consistent functionality, and approaches cost and consumption cycles sensitively.
