Collection: Dietmar Joester

Dietmar Joester was born in 1963 in Lippstadt. After training as a cabinet maker and completing a design internship, he studied interior design with a focus on product design in Trier. In 1997, he founded a studio for furniture and product design and worked for “WK-Wohnen”; Designo, Reflex, and others. Together with well-known national and international companies, Dietmar Joester works on a wide variety of design projects. His work ranges from industrial and furniture design to interior concepts and graphic corporate presentations. The main goal of every project is to find long-lasting solutions that transcend passing trends with the greatest possible balance between function, technology, and aesthetics. His work is characterized by harmoniously proportioned elegance, with particular attention to every detail. His completed works have been exhibited throughout Europe, the USA, and China. The studio has received several design awards, including the world’s highest endowed industrial design prize, the “Finland Wood Innovation Prize” awarded by the Finnish Ministry of Economic Affairs. The table concept “salem” for Draenert was awarded the “NEUE KLASSIKER” prize by Schöner Wohnen.
