Collection: Lovorika Banovic

Lovorika Banovic, Danish designer. Born in Sarajevo BiH 1967. Graduated from the Danish Design School (now The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts – The School of Design) in 1996. She lives and works in Copenhagen. Member of Danish Design Association and Cabinet Makers Autumn Exhibition which is under the protection of HRH Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark. She is a winner of several design awards including Red Dot, LICC, Good Design Award, IF, and German Design Award. Significant for her work is the diversity of her inquisitive quests in many design categories from experimental objects and furniture to lighting and home accessories. With a pronounced sense of material and form, her work exudes originality whether she is designing affordable everyday objects or creating sophisticated one-offs.
Her designs aim to surprise with subtle humor and an equal measure of tradition and contradiction. She collaborated with various brands including Menu, Kvist, PP Møbler, Flying Tiger Copenhagen, Erik Jørgensen Møbelfabrik, MA/U Studio, and many others. Some of her works were exhibited at ASI Art Museum Reykjavik, London Design Festival, Maison Du Danemark Paris, Design Museum Denmark, The Chicago Athenaeum, Trapholt - Museum of Modern Art, Applied Art, Design and Furniture Design, Ordrupgaard Museum, SaloneSatellite Milano, Red Dot Design Museum Essen, Tokyo Design Center, Riga, Helsinki, etc.
